DOING JUSTICE in the WORLD:

Lutheran Services of Florida Adult Guardianship Program >

Since it was founded in 1982 in the Tampa Bay area, Lutheran Services Florida's (LSF) Guardianship Program has continually expanded in response to the increasing need for guardianship services throughout the state. Currently, the Program serves incapacitated adults individuals in Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, Okaloosa, Charlotte, and DeSoto Counties.  Consider becoming a guardian angel.

Journey with the Spirit 2007 Event >

If you missed the first event on August 25 at Nativity Lutheran in Weeki Wachee, don't worry. There are two more opportunities on September 22 and October 6. You too can join the program specialists of the Florida-Bahamas Synod, ELCA, in a day-long event that serves to connect and equip the lay leaders of our synod’s congregations in the areas of Youth & Young Adult Ministry, Communication & Wider Church Mission, Stewardship, and Faith Formation (Christian Ed). We look forward to seeing you there!

Free in Christ to Serve the Neighbor: Lutherans Talk about Human Sexuality

ELCA Studies on Sexuality: Journey Together Faithfully, Part Three.

The responses from congregations to the ELCA Task Force to this third part of the ELCA study on Sexuality is due by November, 2007.  The responses will help form the Social Statement by the ELCA on Sexuality.  Be sure to invite as many from your congregation to participate as possible!

The Florida-Bahamas Synod Task Force for the Study on Sexuality encourages and supports congregations in this study by the development of a convenient and easy-to-use outline of part three of the study.  The Group Leader Outlines have taken the body of each session and outlined it and placed questions for discussion at appropriate places within the session.  Each session begins with a get-to-know-you question that is intended to build trust among the study members.

To download the Group Leader Outline, go to www.fbsynod.com click on Resources, go to Resource Center and scroll down.  Or you can call Irene Flynn at 813-876-7660 ext 229 or email at IreneF@FBsynod.org
