Dear Pastors and Fellow Rostered Leaders,

I invite you to join with me and your fellow colleagues as we gather for the Annual Lenten Visitations. I look forward to your company and being able to give you a first-hand report of what is going on in our synodical and churchwide organizations. We’ll begin with a period of fellowship and reporting and then gather together around Word and Sacrament. One of the local conference Deans will bring the Word, while I preside over the Chrism Eucharist and the renewing of ministerial vows. We will also share in the blessing of the anointing oil that you may use in baptisms and rites of healing. This is a holy time for us to personally appreciate the common ministry into which God has called us through Christ Jesus in the power of the Spirit.

The number of Lenten Visitations has been increased from three to nine locations to make it easier for you to attend. The Lenten Visitations have become very meaningful for me, and I hope you can attend one of them and participate in the encouragement that comes when colleagues renew their vows and our being church together.
