The Florida-Bahamas
Synod is a collection of
210 Lutheran
churches in the State of Florida (USA) and in the Islands of the Bahamas
(USA Territory). There are over 83,000 baptized members in the synod and over
500 of them are rostered clergy or lay professionals. The synod is a part of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America (ELCA), the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States with
well over 4.8 million members throughout the country. The Florida-Bahamas Synod
also has partnerships with Lutheran churches in Suriname, Guyana, Haiti, the
Caribbean and Cuba as part of its Companion Synod Program. Find out about the
