When?

November 13-15 2009

Friday November 13 – Delegate training begins at 3:00 PM. Bishop Benoway opens the gathering at 4:00 PM. The first business session is followed by dinner. David Ludwig inspires and entertains on the piano. We end with conference meetings.

Saturday November 14– Morning exercisers and morning devotions start before breakfast. The day continues with Love Offering, business sessions, workshops, Bible Study and communion service. After dinner, we invite everyone to dress as a Florida tourist or attraction to attend the Florida Tourism Festival with booths and games from each conference.

Sunday November 15 – The final business session and workshops fill the morning. After closing worship, we end our weekend with lunch.

Set on a beautiful lake among towering oaks, Lake Yale offers motel-style accommodations. Recently renovated rooms contain either two single beds or one new king-sized bed in two-story buildings. Six cafeteria-style meals are also included in the weekend package.

What?

Worship, Workshops, Fellowship, Business and Fun

Opportunities for worship include a Eucharist Service on Saturday, closing Worship on Sunday, Bible Study, and morning, evening and personal devotions. Friday night entertainment will be inspiring. Our Florida Tourism Festival will be fun for all on Saturday evening. About 40 different workshops will be offered Saturday and Sunday including several designed for our youth attendees. Issues relevant to women, board members and Triennial delegates will be voted on by delegates from each active congregational unit. Personal time for reflection and meditation will complete your spiritual renewal.

Who?

All Women

All Women who would like a weekend of spiritual renewal are invited to come meet their sisters from all around the state of Florida and the Bahamas. The registration fees for college and high school women are reduced in order to encourage their attendance. Amy Santoriello, synod specialist in youth and young adult ministries will be there to guide them through activities and workshops.
