An exciting mix of business, learning, Bible study, and fellowship has been planned by the Synod Assembly planning team. The Assembly will take place at the Buena Vista Palace on May 4-6, 2012. This is a workshop assembly, and this year, we are in for a treat! The Disney Institute will present a workshop of the whole for all registered voting members and visitors on Saturday afternoon. Our Bible study will set the foundation for our theme of God's Radical Hospitality, and will be led by Rev. Dr. Shauna Hannan from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Important elections will take place for Synod Council, and for voting members to the 2013 ELCA Churchwide Assembly in Pittsburgh. Inspiring worship will take place on the evening of Friday and then on Sunday morning at the end of the Assembly.  Taking advantage of our proximity, there will be time for visitors and voting members to explore Downtown Disney (right across the street) or maybe take advantage of the discount tickets offered through this event to all registrants.
