Leading the church to be clearly focused on the mission of Christ for the sake of the world.

missional-leadership

A missional leader’s primary job is to faithfully and lovingly ask the question, “What is the will of God for our congregation at this time and this place and how do we faithfully pursue it?” This leadership involves forming partnerships with congregational leaders, creating an awareness of God’s enduring mission for the Church, awareness of demographic and cultural trends that affect local mission, discernment and affirmation of core congregational values, guiding processes for strategic planning, aligning ministry with the congregation’s mission, equipping and empowering members for the mission, utilizing synodical and other resources for mission, and consistently communicating a shared vision.
