November 1, 2010 is Deadline for Congregational Response to Proposed Social Statement PDF Print E-mail

Deadline for response to the Study for the ELCA Social Statement on Genetics is November 1, 2009.

In 2005, the ELCA Churchwide Assembly authorized the development of a Social Statement on Genetics. The Churchwide Assembly, meeting in August, 2010, in Orlando, will consider the social statement for adoption.  It is important that congregations are aware of the study and are given the time to respond to the task force.  There is a leader guide to the study at the website.
