Ministerial Assistance Program

The purpose of the Ministerial Assistance Program is to provide confidential assistance through pastoral care, consultation, brief assessment, referral and appropriate follow up to rostered ministers (active or retired), other paid church workers and their families. This is a joint effort of the Florida-Bahamas Synod, ELCA, and Lutheran Counseling Services (LCS).

Ways in which the program can be used include:

> Personal need for counseling/therapy referral for self or family

> Help on a pastoral care, congregational, staff,  vocational or governance issue.

> Response to a church worker or parishioner with a grievance.

> Pastoral follow up, as appropriate, to the welfare of a church worker.

All calls and information will be kept strictly confidential at LCS.
