Pr Wahl Submits Resignation PDF Print E-mail

KandJ-WahlThe Reverend Jerry Wall, Director of Evangelical Mission for the Florida-Bahamas Synod, has accepted the call as Senior Interim Pastor of Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Chanhassen, Minnesota, resigning his position, effective July 9th. Below is his letter of resignation to Bishop Benoway and the synod.

A Message from Pr. Jerry Wahl:

Dear Friends,

Serving as Director for Mission in the Florida-Bahamas Synod has been a wonderful opportunity and privilege. I am thankful for our partnership in ministry. The Spirit has brought us together in mission to: begin new congregations; convene conference mission tables; launch the 'Together in Mission' appeal; and, to walk with congregations as new visions and ministry plans are formed.

I want to thank Bishop Benoway and staff for their partnership and support, the Synod Council and ministry teams for your vision and leadership, the EO TEAM for their commitment to 'Make Christ Known', our Mission Developers for their faithfulness, and the good people of faith in the Florida-Bahamas Synod for your generosity and faithfulness in the Gospel.

Karen and I thank you for welcoming us to this great church family we call the Florida-Bahamas Synod. We head north with great memories and many pairs of sandals. Thoughts of sunshine and white sand beaches will help us through the Minnesota winter.

God's blessings be with you!
Pastor Jerry and Karen Wahl
