SPECIAL NOTE RE: YOUTH VOTING MEMBERS:
Each congregation bringing a youth voting member to synod assembly will be
responsible for the supervision and housing of that youth.
The best practices for providing a “Safe Church” environment are for
youth to room with other youth of the same gender. Please partner with other
congregations in your conference to arrange the sharing of rooms for the youth
voting members. While not
recommended, youth and adults may stay in the same hotel room, but youth should
always outnumber the adult, and adults and youth may never share the same bed.
