October 31st – November 2nd, 2008

Friday October 31st – Bishop Benoway opens the gathering at 4:00 PM.  Inez Torres-Davis from the churchwide staff will lead us in exploring “Today’s Dream, Tomorrow’s Reality.” That evening we invite everyone to dress up as their favorite woman in the Bible or in history (your personal “SHE-RO”). We end with conference meetings.

Saturday November 1st – Morning exercisers begin with a walk around the scenic loop. The day continues with workshops, Bible Study, and a fun-filled outdoor “field day” event. Our festival All Saints Eucharist worship service will be held after dinner.

Sunday November 2nd –Spend the morning in informative workshops and learn about our new Love Offering focus. After closing worship, we end our weekend with lunch.

Where?

Lake Yale, Baptist Assembly, Leesburg

Set on a beautiful lake among towering oaks, Lake Yale offers motel-style accommodations. Recently renovated rooms contain either  two single beds or one new king-sized bed in two-story buildings.  Six cafeteria-style meals are also included in the weekend package.

What?

Worship, Workshops, Fellowship, and Fun

Opportunities for Worship include a Eucharist Service on Saturday, closing Worship on Sunday, Bible studies and personal devotions.  Our “field day” event will be outside and accessable to all.  About 40 different workshops will be offered Saturday and Sunday including several designed for our youth attendees.  Personal time for reflection and meditation will complete your spiritual renewal.

Who?

All Women of the Florida-Bahamas Synod

All Women who would like a weekend of spiritural renewal are invited to come meet their sisters from all around the state of Florida and the Bahamas.  The registration fees for college and high school women are reduced in order to encourage their attendance. A “Youth Shepherd” will be there to guide them through specially planned activities and workshops.
